Bowtrol Colon Cleanse is a natural herbal colon cleaning agent with strong laxative effects. Made from a formula of 14 ingredients, complete dosing instructions are on the package label. Stimulant Laxatives

Made from the bark of Cascara sagrada plant, the herbal remedy of Cascara sagrada is a strong stimulant laxative. It is not good for those with Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, heart disease, nausea, vomiting or stomach pain. Aloe vera can be taken internally for constipation, even though it isn’t regulated for this use. Medline Plus states it has promise as a laxative.

Vermifuges

Vermifuges rid the body of parasites such as worms. Wormseed is an herbal remedy that works in expelling worms through defecation, according to Botanical.com. Potential side effects are vomiting and dizziness.

Bowel Soothers

Peppermint oil is added to aid in digestion and to soothe irritable bowel syndrome symptoms, according to the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine. It is taken in small doses. Bentonite clay is an earth mineral that is added to bind gut toxins together, according to the University of Wisconsin, to soothe the bowel and expel them.

Antioxidants

Antioxidants can help your body fight free radical damage. Antioxidants in Bowtrol Colon Cleanse include black seeds and olive leaf extract, according to the Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Thyme oil powder is another antioxidant that is also an antimicrobial and will work against microbes such as bacteria and fungi.

Anti-Fungal

Garlic extract is an anti-fungal herbal remedy that rids the body of fungus and yeast growth, according to Medline Plus. Garlic is added in a 12:1 concentration to Bowtrol Colon Cleanse.

Antiseptics

Antiseptics helps kill germs where they are expelled leaving behind a healthier body. Clove is an antiseptic, according to Wellness.com, in Bowtrol Colon Cleanse. Slippery elm is another ingredient that falls under the antiseptic category.
