Glowing skin is a sign of healthy skin. A healthy diet, plenty of water and treating your skin with care can create a flawless look. Skip a trip to the store and use products that can be found in most kitchen cabinets to create at-home recipes for facial treatments. The ingredients are inexpensive and the remedies require just a few steps.
Cucumber Mask
Peel one cucumber. Slice into small sections. Add to blender and turn into a paste. Apply to face, forehead and neck. Allow to set for 10 minutes. Wash face with cool water to rinse paste off. The cucumber has natural toners that deep clean and relax skin.
Banana and Honey Mix
Take a banana and mash it into a smooth paste with a spoon. Add 1 tbsp. of honey and 1/2 tsp. of milk. Mix ingredients together. Smooth over the face and let sit for 20 minutes. The mixture can also be left on overnight for additional moisturizing.
Egg White Paste
Crack open two eggs and separate the whites and the yolks. Mix the egg whites with a teaspoon of honey. Smooth over face and let sit for 10 minutes. The mask will add moisture as well as prevent fine lines and wrinkles.
Sugar Scrub
Mix half a cup of sugar with 3 tbsp. of almond oil. Add a few drops of essential oils such as lavender or citrus for extra scent. Apply the scrub to the face and neck. Massage into the skin with your fingertips, using a light circular motion. Do not abrasively scrub the skin. Use no more than three times a week.
