With aging and after dramatic weight loss, the skin becomes less elastic and expanded, leading to sagging breasts. While some women worry about it, doctors at the Mayo Clinic report that pregnancy and breast-feeding do not contribute to sagging breasts. Smoking is another contributor to loose, sagging skin. Although you can't get rid of loose skin naturally, once they start dropping, there are a few steps you can take to enhance and raise your breasts

Breast Lift

A breast lift is a cosmetic surgical procedure that involves cutting off excess skin and tightening up the skin and muscles holding your breasts. According to the Mayo Clinic, the surgery is the most common procedure to correct drooping breasts. Unfortunately, breast lifts do leave scars that often remain visible. You might consider getting breast augmentation at the same time as a breast lift. By adding implants, you stand a better chance of ending up with firm, even breasts that are more immune to future sagging. As with any surgery, there are risks associated with a breast lift. You could experience infection, excessive bleeding or have trouble with the scars. Additionally, the breasts may end up being slightly uneven. Make sure you use a reputable cosmetic surgeon experienced in performing breast lifts.

Exercise

Most exercises you do with free weights tighten the chest muscles that support the breasts. Use free weights to build up your chest muscles, which hold up the fat and skin in your breasts. One of the most effective chest building exercises is the chest fly. To effectively perform the exercise, use on a stability ball to get the most out of the exercise. Lie on your back on the ball and hold a free weight in each hand. Hold your arms straight out from your body and simultaneously raise both arms so the weights meet above your head. Slowly return to the starting position and repeat 20 times. Add weight as the exercise becomes easier.

Posture

You can get an instant breast lift by standing up straight. According to the Kansas Chiropractic Foundation, you will benefit from proper posture in a number of ways in addition to lifting your breasts; you can avoid back pain, have better digestion and feel better about yourself. Stand with your head up and your chin slightly forward. Tuck in your stomach as you push your shoulders back and stick out your chest.
