The Sole E35 elliptical is a device designed to help exercise several of the body's muscle groups. Pedals attached to the base of the elliptical work the legs, while a pair of handlebars targets the muscles of the upper body; adjustable resistance settings increase or reduce the difficulty of the workout as desired. If you wish to pack up your elliptical for easier storage, you must first disassemble the device into its individual components. Most of the pieces are held in place with bolts or screws and the use of simple hand tools will be sufficient for disassembly.

Step 1

Disconnect the elliptical's power cord from its electrical outlet. Remove the screws securing the arm covers, sliding wheel covers, stabilizer covers and incline covers in place. Remove the covers and set them aside.

Step 2

Locate the points where each handlebar joins to the ends of the connecting arms. Remove the bolts located at each connection point, then lift the handlebars free of the connecting arms. Locate the plastic covers at the end of each handlebar; remove the screws securing each cover in place, then remove the covers and set them aside.

Step 3

Disconnect the wires attached to each handlebar. Pull the handlebars off of the elliptical and set them aside. Remove the screws securing the console unit to the console mast. Lift the unit upwards and examine the underside of the console. Unplug the computer cable, two hand pulse cables, resistance switch wire and incline switch wire. Remove the console and set it aside.

Step 4

Lift the cover located at the bottom of the console mast and remove the bolts securing the mast to the elliptical's base. Disconnect the incline motor power lines, then remove the mast from the elliptical and set it aside.

Step 5

Locate the point where the incline rail assembly joins to the main frame. Remove the bolts securing the end of the assembly to the bracket on the main frame. Separate the rail assembly from the frame.
