A trampoline pad provides cushioning when people are jumping on the trampoline. Pads are essential to the safety of trampoline use, and proper care of the pad is just as vital. Trampoline pads withstand all kinds of abuse, from dirty sneakers to dust build up. Cleaning the pad regularly may help maintain the effectiveness of the pad and increase its life span. Responsible trampoline use requires a strong pad kept in superb condition.

Step 1

Use a broom to clean the surface of the pad. Brush the broom across the pad to remove debris.

Step 2

Remove the pad from the trampoline. Set the pad on the ground, and spray it down with a garden hose. Do not use a high-pressure system, as it may rip the pad surface.

Step 3

Fill a bucket with water and a couple of squirts of dish washing soap. Scrub the surface of the pad with a soft bristled scrub brush that has been dipped in the bucket. Concentrate on heavy traffic areas or spots that have accumulated dirt. Look for mold or mildew in creases and seams.

Step 4

Wipe the pad with a clean dry towel, or let it dry in the sun.
