Of course you want to look younger and even more beautiful than you already are. And you don't have a pile of money and endless time to spend on a spa or a dermatologist. Well then, step into the kitchen and get busy; you're going to whip up a homemade acid peel using tomato, orange and lime juices and gelatin. Chances are, you don't have all the ingredients you need, in which case a quick trip to the market is your first step.

Step 1

Buy the freshest ingredients you can find. Walk right by the bottled juices and the canned veggies; they're not for you. You're going for gorgeous here, so pick out a real tomato, a real orange and a real lime. Heft them in your hand. The heavier the fruit, the juicier. Buy the heaviest ones.

Step 2

Squeeze the orange and the lime. Measure out the 1 tbsp. of orange juice and 1 tbsp. of lime juice; save the rest for a fruit punch. Put 1/2 cup of cold water, the orange and lime juices and one envelope of gelatin in a small saucepan. Over low heat, gently warm this concoction, stirring constantly, until the mixture looks absolutely clear, with no undissolved grains of gelatin floating around in it.

Step 3

Peel the tomato. The easiest way to do this is to drop it in a pot of boiling water for a minute or two, then remove to a bowl of ice water and let it cool. The tomato skin should peel off easily with just a gentle nudge from your paring knife. Cut the naked tomato into chunks, and whirl them into a red mush in a blender or a food processor. Add the mush to the gelatin mixture, stirring slowly, and then transfer all to a bowl.

Step 4

Place the bowl in the refrigerator, and allow the contents to cool until almost firm but still soft enough to be smeared onto your face. Wait about 25 minutes, and then stir the mixture to see if it's ready.

Step 5

Wash your face and neck. Now, using a soft brush or spatula, spread on the tomato-orange-lime-gelatin goop. Stay clear of your eyes and lips. Lie down and let the mask dry.

Peel it upward and off, starting under your chin. Don't worry if you feel a tingling sensation. Rinse with cold water and then pat dry with a clean towel.

Okay, you can look in the mirror now.
