Hybrid clubs are becoming increasingly popular on the golf course because they're versatile and easy to hit. You can hit hybrid clubs not only off the tee but also from the fairway, the rough, the bunkers and around the green. Depending on your preferences, you can find hybrid clubs in a number of different specifications. The specs on the loft, lie and length of the club may vary depending on the manufacturer.

Loft

The loft for hybrid clubs ranges between 14 and 32 degrees, which puts the hybrid clubs in the range of the loft of a typical 3-wood through 7-iron. This allows you to hit the ball into the air like an iron with much of the same distance as a fairway wood.

Lie

Hybrid golf clubs come with somewhere between 58 and 62 degrees of lie, which is the angle between the bottom of the head of the club and the shaft. As with the loft of the club, the lie of a hybrid is similar to the lie of a fairway wood through a 7-iron.

Length

The length of hybrid golf clubs ranges from 38 to 41 inches. Hybrid clubs have shorter shafts than fairway woods, and the lower the loft on the hybrid the longer the shaft. Therefore, the longest shaft on a hybrid club is comparable to that of a 7-wood.
