Christopher Getz stars in this DVD series that includes a whopping eight discs. You'll learn boxing fundamentals, combinations, defensive techniques, counter punching strategies, how to use boxing mitts and technique for inside the boxing ring.

Getz is a certified and licensed boxing coach with over a decade of coaching experience. He has also fought as a boxer and kickboxer. This DVD is a little pricey but well worth the money as it's extremely well taught and full of useful information.

Mastering Boxing: Boxing Basics With Ray Mercer

With an impressive boxing career behind him, Mercer sets his sights on coaching with this instructional DVD. He had an impressive boxing career that started in the Army. He won Olympic gold in boxing in 1988 in the heavyweight division. In his professional career, Mercer won and lost multiple heavyweight titles, fighting some of the best boxers in the game.

In his DVD, Mastering Boxing, Mercer gives you classical boxing instruction. He teaches all of the basic punches such as the jab, cross, hook and uppercut. It's 55 minutes long and Mercer breaks it up by telling stories about his days as a boxer and how he used certain techniques to his advantage.

Becoming A Better Boxer DVD Set

There are three volumes in this DVD taught by Kenny Weldon. He's one of the most sought-after trainers in boxing and has produced over 26 national champions, including three Olympians. Learn his approach in this DVD series, which is a total of 187 minutes in length.

The first DVD is all about movement. You'll cover how to stand, move, and practice drills like jumping rope. In the second DVD you'll cover boxing drills on the double end bag, heavy bag and speed bag. If you have any of this equipment this DVD will teach you how to use it properly.

The third DVD covers more advanced techniques on the various training bags and how to move about in a boxing ring. If you're looking to take your boxing knowledge and skill set to the next level, this series will help.

Freddie Roach's Fundamentals of Boxing

This DVD is great for people who are very new to boxing. Freddie Roach has coached many famous boxers, include Manny Pacquiao. He breaks down technique with stories and anecdotes to make it accessible even for the newest boxer.

Everlast Boxing Workout: Beginner

For 60 minutes you'll cover basic boxing technique with this DVD. Everlast is one of the most prominent boxing glove companies in the world and released this instructional DVD back in 2002.

You'll learn how to properly warm-up, jump rope, wrap your hands for protection, get in the proper stance, punch and stretch. Within 60 minutes you'll be much more comfortable with basic boxing techniques.

Power Boxing Workout With Marlen Esparza.

You get to work out with the first woman to win an Olympic boxing medal for the United States in this DVD. Marlen Esparza, who took a bronze medal in the Olympics, guides you through basic punches and combinations of punches.

The DVD is fast-paced in an intense workout format. There are four total high-intensity workouts that include boxing instruction. You'll be able to say that you got a good workout and lots of practice punching by the end of the DVD. You'll also get some bonus leg and core exercises as part of the workout.
