Yohimbe is the common name for the Pausinystalia Yohimbe tree, a tall evergreen tree that is native to western Africa. Yohimbe bark has been used by African tribes as an aphrodisiac for many centuries.

There are no official recommendations on how much Yohimbe can be safely consumed. Yohimbe is not an essential nutrient; therefore, it's not required by the body.

Side Effects

The most common side effects of yohimbe are sleeplessness, high blood pressure, headache, dizziness, increased heart rate and anxiety.

Yohimbine

Yohimbine is the chemical found in yohimbe tree bark. It's also the substance that's most commonly used in dietary supplements.

Yohimbine Hydrochloride

Yohimbine hydrochloride is the standardized form of yohimbine. It's found in prescription medications that are used to treat erectile dysfunction.
