The use of mini trampolines for weight loss surfaced a little over a decade ago. Often, they were marketed as play items, but now they serve a dual purpose: to provide a fat burning workout while having fun at the same time. Mini trampolines offer a great cardio workout and are very portable. They can be used indoors or outdoors, while watching your favorite TV show and while you are on break at work. Try using this device as part of a body fat burning program.
Step 1
Do some basic jumping to warm up muscles and become familiar with the trampoline. If you are a beginner, you may want to purchase a support bar to attach to your mini trampoline. This can help prevent injury.
Step 2
Jog in place after you are sufficiently warmed up. Start out bouncing and then gradually begin a jogging motion. Swing your arms for extra intensity and do this for two minutes. Slow down to a bounce for two minutes, jog for two minutes and repeat this cycle for at least 10 to 15 minutes. This type of interval training will help you burn fat faster than an even-paced workout.
Step 3
Do jumping jacks to engage a full body workout. Jump up and down, spread feet to a wide stance and simultaneously raise both hands above your head. Bring hands back down along with your feet to a closed position. For extra intensity use weights on your arms or ankles.
Step 4
Do the twist. Remember the old dance craze from the 1960s? You can do this on a trampoline and burn off body fat. Start with feet a couple of inches apart, raise arms with elbows bent up to chest level. Twist knees to the right while turning your upper body to the left and then reverse in the opposite direction. For a more advanced workout you can squat and twist at the same time.
