Joe Weider is a well-established name in the world of fitness equipment and bodybuilding supplements. He founded bodybuilding competitions such as Mr. Olympia, and is also the founder of popular magazines "Men's Health" and "Muscle and Fitness." In addition to home gyms and protein powders, Weider's company also produces several exercise programs available on DVD. These use a variety of equipment designed for both beginning fitness enthusiasts and experienced bodybuilders.

X-Factor

The X-Factor is a device that attaches to any standard door with a set of four clips, resembling the letter "X" when assembled. This product comes with an exercise program contained in three DVDs: the "X-Factor Explosion," the "X-Factor Total Body Workout" and the "X-Factor AB." Users perform the exercise routines by pulling on bands using handles for the hands and ankle straps for the legs, both included. The program also comes with a electronic nutrition guide and an exercise wall chart. According to the official Weider website, the "X-Factor" supplies up to 210 pounds of adjustable resistance and is suitable for working the entire body, with a focus on strengthening the core muscles.

Joe Weider's Bodybuilding Training System

Joe Weider's "Bodybuilding Training System" is the flagship product in Weider's exercise program lineup. Containing over 6.5 hours of footage, the DVD series covers topics such as the history of bodybuilding, an explanation of the Weider System, basic and advanced exercise techniques, nutrition and training safety. Originally sold on video tapes, the remastered series features appearances by famous bodybuilders such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, Lou Ferrigno, Cory Everson and Frank Zane. The program comes with a training log, four DVDs and a program guide with dictionary of important terms.

Elite PowerBell Workout

Weider offers a workout program using their kettlebell-like product called the "Elite PowerBell Workout". Kettlebells resemble cannon balls with handles attached, and are used similar to dumbbells for resistance training. Weider' s PowerBell system takes the original kettlebell design and converts it into an adjustable device, with a range of five to 40 pounds depending on the model. The "Elite PowerBell Workout" is led by former U.S. Special Forces member and kettleball trainer Michael Skogg. It features a full-body resistance and cardiovascular workout and is accompanied by a fitness journal to track results.
