If you're trying to lose weight, changes in diet and exercise plans are a must. But you may also benefit from the use of a fat-oxidizing supplement. As the website The Medical Biochemistry Page explains, fat oxidation is the process by which your body uses stored fat as energy. While this process can occur naturally, it requires the absence of other energy sources--food. However, some fat-burning supplements can prompt the body to oxidize fat even if you're still supplying your body with food. As with all supplements, speak with your doctor before using fat oxidizers.
Nutrex Research Lipo 6 Black Hers
Nutrex Research calls the Lipo 6 Black Hers product an extreme fat destroyer that is specifically formulated for women. As with many other weight loss supplements, a main ingredient in Lipo 6 Black Hers is caffeine, which stimulates the central nervous system. This supplement also contains ingredients, such as hordenine, theobromine and yohimbine, to encourage the mobilization and oxidation of stored fat. Yohimbine may be an effective ingredient for spurring fat loss, as powerlifter and fitness expert Elzi Volk explains. Volk notes that research has shown yohimbine can enhance exercise-induced calorie burn and may encourage fat loss.
VPX Redline Ultra Hardcore
As the name suggests, VPX Redline Ultra Hardcore is intended to be a powerful fat-oxidizing supplement. It contains a number of ingredients found in other effective fat-burning products, including caffeine and yohimbine. In addition to those ingredients, Redline Ultra Hardcore contains Guggul extract, olive leaf extract and resveratrol. As Oregon State University explains, resveratrol is a compound found in red wine that is believed to act as an antioxidant and have several benefits. Among its purported benefits are decreased risk of coronary heart disease, increased lifespan and prevention of cancer cell growth. However, Oregon State University notes that there is not sufficient data to back up these claims in humans.
Nutrition HQ Tri-Matrix for Women
Nutrition HQ Tri-Matrix for Women is a weight loss supplement designed to help women's bodies oxidize fat. This supplement contains lower levels of caffeine than many other weight loss supplement--125 mg per serving--which may be more appropriate for women, as their bodies tend to be smaller than men's. This product does contain many herbal ingredients, such as green and black tea, pomegranate and grape seed extract and guggulsterone.
Nutrition HQ Tri-Matrix For Women may be of particular interest for you if you exercise frequently, as research from the February 2010 issue of the "Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition" suggests black tea extract may reduce muscle soreness and improve recovery from exercise sessions.
