To give your face a clean, smooth feel, use a sugar face scrub. The crystals in sugar are lightly abrasive, and gently and effectively exfoliate dead skin cells. Other ingredients provide emolient properties that help to soften and moisturize your skin. Added fragrances make cleansing more enjoyable. There's no need to spend a lot of money on store-bought scrubs, however. You can make your own face scrub at home. All of the ingredients are available at your local grocery, pharmacy and craft stores. In just a few minutes you can put together a refreshing and invigorating sugar face scrub.
Step 1
Sift the sugar to remove any lumps and ensure it is as fine as possible.
Step 2
Place the liquid ingredients in a mixing bowl. Mix the liquids together with the beater until completely blended.
Step 3
Add the sugar to the liquids immediately. Combine the ingredients thoroughly with a spoon. If the mixture is too thin, add more sugar. If it is too thick, add more olive oil.
Step 4
Place the mixture in the wide mouth jar and seal the lid. Keep your facial scrub in the refrigerator. Stir the ingredients thoroughly before each use.
