Golf carts have found new uses over the years. Lost Creek Carts states that golf carts are not only on the golf course, but their usage extends to gardening, hunting, farming and carrying their owners around campgrounds and lakes. Electric golf carts have become a very versatile vehicle. According to the EZ Go, you must install a dedicated circuit to charge your golf cart. They also state that hydrogen gas is a natural byproduct of the charging process and you should choose an open charging area for installation of your dedicated circuit.
Step 1
Park the EZ Go golf cart in a well-ventilated area with access to a 15-amp, 120-volt grounded receptacle.
Step 2
Plug the charger handle into the golf cart. The green LED light on the side of the charger should flash. The longer the interval between flashes indicates the amount of charge on the battery. For example, a short flash indicates the charge of less than 80 percent complete and a long flash indicates a charge of more than 80 percent complete.
Step 3
Allow the charger to complete the charging cycle until the LED light no longer flashes, remaining solid green. The charger turns off on its own once it completes the charge. Using the EZ Go golf cart for 8 to 10 hours requires 10 to 14 hours of charging.
