Many products are available on the market that claim to re-grow hair including certain shampoos, conditioners and nutritional supplements. Results are dependent on the individual and the severity of your condition. Instant results are not likely to occur since scalp hair grows about half an inch a month, according to the American Academy of Dermatology. Since most of these products are not clinically proven to re-grow hair, it is best to consult a dermatologist first.

Provillus

Provillus works by helping you keep what hair you have left and promoting the growth of new hair. Provillus is FDA approved and clinically proven to re-grow hair. The hair re-growth system consists of a topical solution that you put directly on the affected area of your scalp and dietary supplements that contain natural herbs, minerals and vitamins that help stimulate hair to grow.

Procerin

Only for men, Procerin is a two-part solution for hair loss and thinning hair. Products include oral tablets that contain dihydrotestosterone (DHT) blockers that have been proven in global clinical studies to be effective and a topical foam that stimulates hair re-growth. The main ingredients are vitamins, minerals and other nutrients that help control hormone byproducts that are responsible for hair loss.

Sephren

Sephren is a hair loss treatment system specifically for women and consists of two products, an oral supplement and a topical foam. The all-natural supplements contain B vitamin complex and horsetail silica that may help stimulate hair growth. The foam product contains Texas White Cedarwood and Spanish Rosemary oils that work to condition the scalp which may help re-grow hair.

FAST System

Advecia is an oral hair loss supplement containing all natural herbal products. Ingredients include Saw Palmetto extract, phytosterol extract, beta-sitosterol and green tea which all help block the hormone byproducts responsible for hair loss.

Profinast

Profinast is an herbal form of an FDA approved drug, Finasteride, that is used to treat baldness in males. Made of herbs, vitamins, and nutrients. Profinast helps stop hair loss, reverses hair follicle shrinkage and promotes hair re-growth. Although not clinically validated, in seven days, the product claims to prevent further heavy hair loss.

Rogaine

Rogaine is a topical product that is FDA approved to re-grow hair in men and women. Minoxidil, the active ingredient in Rogaine works by stimulating hair follicle, according to Medline Plus. The product must be used regularly, as once treatment stops, hair loss returns.

Growth Renew

Specifically for women of color, Growth Renew by Profectiv is a five step system that helps prevent hair loss while wearing weaves, extensions, braids or wigs. The products contain vitamin-based stimulants that help restore or improve scalp and hair follicle blood flow circulation which helps produce stronger and healthier hair.

Extreme Hair Therapy

Extreme Hair Therapy or EXT is a line of products made up of a variety of products including Minoxidil, a hair rejuvenating shampoo and conditioning system and thickening treatments for balding and thinning hair. The products work my stimulating hair growth by keeping the hair follicles in the growth phase longer so that hair can grow thicker.
