How to Set Age on a Nordic Track C1800s Treadmill

Running or walking on a treadmill is one of the best ways to burn calories, according to the University of Maryland Medical Center. The NordicTrack C1800S is a discontinued treadmill model that was developed and released by the NordicTrack fitness company. Like many of the company's treadmill models, this specific model can help you gauge your athletic performance according to your age. To get the most out of this feature, you must first enter your age into the treadmill's software memory.

Step 1

Plug the NordicTrack C1800S into a grounded power outlet--grounded outlets have a plug with two vertical slots and a third hole--and flip the manual power switch near where the power cord enters the treadmill.

Step 2

Push the "Power" button on the front of the treadmill's control panel. This button is situated between the two handlebars. The NordicTrack's display will light up.

Step 3

Press "Age/Weight Set." The treadmill's LCD screen will switch to the age settings. Continue to press "Age/Weight Set" to scroll through the numbers. Stop pressing the button when you've arrived at your age.

Step 4

Hit "Start." Your age is now saved in the NordicTrack C1800S' settings.
