Little League Baseball is for boys and girls aged 7 to 12. Bats used in Little League are generally 2 1/4 inches in diameter, and the lengths range from 28 to 32 inches. Weights are designated by how much less the bat weighs compared to how long it is. For example, a -9 bat that is 32 inches would be 23 oz. Heavier bats are around -7, and lighter bats are -13.
2005 Anderson KXP -11
The KXP is a single wall bat with a lighter swing weight, which is extremely important for young baseball players. Swinging a bat that is too heavy can cause inconsistency with the swing, which can affect performance. The unique Acoustic Enhancement Technology the Anderson bats display produces more of a "crack" sound like composite bats instead of the loud "ping" made with aluminum and other metal bats. Combined with its thin whip handle, it can produce more swing speed, thus increasing distance.
DeMarini CF4Black -11
The CF4 black is one of the newest and most technologically advanced bats DeMarini has produced. It is equipped with an internal hub end cap, which redirects energy toward the sweet spot of the bat, producing more crisp hits, even when they are not directly on the sweet spot. This bat is also equipped with a rotation index label on the handle, reminding players to rotate the bat between hits, which prolongs the life of the bat. Combine all of that with the double layer composite and silver trace bonding agent, this bat will provide a noticeable quality over older model bats.
2010 Easton Stealth Speed
With its -13 length/weight ratio, this bat will swing lighter than most Little League bats. This provides a faster swing speed, which should increase distance immediately. The Easton Connexion separates the barrel from the handle of the bat, which decreases vibration and expands the sweet spot of the bat. Its Focused Flex also increases bat whip, which creates more distance with the same swing speed when compared to other bats.
