Spa nights can be easily created at home to offer optimal relaxation, peace of mind and rejuvenation to your body. They can also foster romance between you and your loved one. Through simple uses of candles, foods, beverages, lotions and bath salts, you and your partner can enjoy a spa night frequently.
Step 1
Turn off the phone, television or any other distraction that steals your attention away from peaceful thoughts and meditation. Play some soft, easy listening music to allow the mind to quiet and relax. Feed each other 80% dark chocolate and savor the flavor and texture. Chocolate releases neurotransmitters that positively impact mood.
Step 2
Change into light weight, clean clothing that moves easily and is cool and comfortable. Prepare a soaking tub with hot water and dissolve bath salts with healing properties of sea salt, lavender, or eucalyptus.
Step 3
Gather a group of 4 to 8 candles and place them around the soaking tub, then turn down the lights. Keep the temperature cooler in the room with the soaking tub. Sip herbal tea that is calming, such as chamomile and lemon, as you wait for the tub to fill.
Step 4
Soak your body in the soaking tub for 20 to 30 minutes. Massage each others feet and legs, then move to the shoulders and neck while in the bath. Help each other dry off with a clean towel when finished.
Step 5
Mix 1/4 cup of almond oil with 2 drops of lavender essential oil and massage the oil into each others' muscles. The healing properties and toning properties of almond oil and lavender essential oil will provide added relaxation to the muscles and skin. The aroma is sensual and calming.
