The Total Gym 1700 Club, a home gym system, consists of a slide board and a handful of accessories including a press-up bar, a dip bar and a Pilates bar, enabling you to do more than 80 exercises. Resistance comes from your own body weight rather than weight blocks. Incline the slide board to lift more of your body weight and increase the intensity of the exercises. The Total Gym folds up to make it easier to store.
Step 1
Remove attachments including the press up bar, dip bar and Pilates bar. Pull off the flip chart accessory. Place the cap that came with your unit on top of the vertical column.
Step 2
Hook the cable pulley to the bottom of the glideboard.
Step 3
Hold the rails up and remove the height-adjustment pin. Slowly lower the rails until they rest on the frame.
Step 4
Remove the spring-loaded pin located on the left side rail to unlock the vertical column. Fold the vertical column down. Insert the safety hitch pin at the bottom of the vertical column to secure it in place.
Step 5
Slide the glideboard to the back of the unit. Grab the top of the glideboard and lift up so the rollers on the bottom of the unit come together. Pull until the unit is completely folded.
Step 6
Lower the Total Gym to the floor and store it, for exmple in a closet or under a bed.
