Special makeup application techniques are required to conceal dark under eye circles. Properly applied makeup hides under eye circles, and makes skin look fresh and natural. It takes only five minutes to conceal dark circles, following the same techniques that professional makeup artists use.
Step 1
Smooth a facial moisturizer onto your freshly cleansed skin.
Step 2
Choose a creamy concealer that is slightly lighter than your natural skin tone. Concealers with a pink, melon or yellow undertone provide the best coverage for dark under-eye circles.
Step 3
With your pinky, gently dab a small amount of concealer under both eyes. Start at near the inner eye, and work the concealer out to your outer eye area. Gently dab and press the concealer until it is blended with the surrounding skin. Apply a little bit of concealer at a time, and use only as much as needed to cover the dark circles.
Step 4
Next, apply foundation with the triangle cosmetic sponge. Gently dab a small amount of the foundation under eyes. Lightly rub the sponge over the rest of your face in an upward motion to blend.
Step 5
Sweep a small amount of sheer yellow-tone eye shadow over the concealer with an eye shadow brush. Make sure the eye shadow is glitter-free.
Step 6
Brush translucent powder over your entire face to set the foundation and eliminate shine.
Step 7
Apply the rest of your makeup following your normal routine.
Tips and Warnings
- Mix a drop of facial moisturizer into your concealer if it is not creamy enough to pat onto the under eye area easily.
