The face has 10 groups of muscles from the scalp to the neck and these muscles connect to your skin and other muscles. If the muscles lose tone, it can cause the face to look droopy. Facial exercises help decrease droop and poof to give you a slimmer look.

No Upper Lip

The no upper lip smile engages the muscles around your lips and your cheeks. Begin this exercise sitting or standing. Inhale and relax your shoulders, neck and face. Pull your bottom lip up over your top lip, hold and smile as big as you can without your bottom lip leaving this position. Hold your smile for three to five counts then relax. Make sure your head stays in neutral alignment through the exercise. Repeat the smile 10 to 12 times.

Look Left and Right

The look left and right move is a facial yoga exercise that engages the muscles around the eyes. Relax your shoulders, neck and head, keeping your head in neutral alignment. Inhale and look as far right as you can without turning your head. Bring your eyes back to center, then look as far left as you can. Bring your eyes back to center and look as far up as you can. Come back to center and look down. Repeat the sequence five to eights times.

Chin Chew

The chin chew exercise engages the muscles in the jaw, chin and cheeks. Sit comfortably with your shoulders upright over your hips. Open you mouth slightly and stick out your upper lip and feel the chin muscle engage. Hold this position and make a small circle to the right, in a chewing motion for 10 counts. Come back to center and repeat the chewing motion to the left for 10 counts. The movement should come from your lower lip and chin only, try not to move the rest of your face.
