Do your treadmill cardio workouts in the privacy of your home with the Proform 860. You can create and save your own workouts or use one of the 20 preprogrammed personal trainer workouts. The speed settings range from 0 to 12 mph, with an incline up to 12 percent. You can track calories burned, distance, elapsed time and your heart rate on the display console. Before using your Proform 860, you will have to properly assemble the unit.

Step 1

Insert the extension legs. Lift the treadmill, keeping it in its folded position. Set it upright so the walking belt is vertical. The power switch will be facing the floor. Tip the treadmill gently to one side and insert one of the extension legs into the main frame. Make sure the base pad is on the bottom of the extension leg. Tip the treadmill the other way and insert the other extension leg.

Step 2

Lower the treadmill to the ground. Place your foot on the wheels of the extension legs and tip the uprights down. Secure each extension leg with one screw. Insert a second screw with a base pad into each extension leg.

Step 3

Attach the handrail extensions. Lift the uprights back into a vertical position. Use two screws to attach the latch assembly and latch spacer to the left upright. Insert a handrail extension into the left upright. If needed, use a rubber mallet to gently hammer it into place. Use three small screws to secure the handrail extension. Slide the left foam grip onto the left upright and attach with one small screw.

Step 4

Attach the right handrail extension and foam grip in the same manner.

Step 5

Tighten all screws prior to using your treadmill.
