Water weight can make wearing certain clothes uncomfortable and tighter than usual. Holding water weight can cause bloating all over the body from the tummy to your hips and thighs. Several factors cause water weight gain like dehydration, too much dairy, lack of fiber and inactivity. Fortunately there are a few ways to quickly pull water weight from the body and tighten your physique.
Step 1
Increase your daily fiber intake. Consume foods high in fiber like fruits, fiber-rich cereals and colorful vegetables to slow down the rate of digestion and keep you fuller longer. Eat between 30 to 40 g of fiber per day.
Step 2
Stay hydrated by increasing your water consumption. Drink 1 gallon of water per day to eliminate bloating caused by dehydration.
Step 3
Perform interval training at least four times per week. Jog on the treadmill for one minute and walk for one minute. Repeat for 30 minutes.
Step 4
Avoid processed foods that contain large amounts of sodium, chemicals and refined sugar. Eat foods in their natural form like complex carbohydrates, lean proteins, vegetables and fruits.
Step 5
Limit your dairy consumption to decrease bloating caused by the body's inability to digest the sugars in milk.
Tips and Warnings
- Eliminate alcoholic beverages to avoid empty calories.
