Gerber baby foods offer parents healthy, organic food choices for babies at all stages of development. Foods include cereals and pureed fruits and vegetables in a variety of flavors.

Types

Gerber provides single grain cereals along with pureed fruits and vegetables. The single grain cereals are designed for babies just beginning to eat solid foods. Gerber pureed fruits and vegetables are designed for babies who are ready to move beyond the single grain cereal.

Classes

Gerber's pureed fruits and vegetables baby food falls into groups numbered 1 through 3. The first group contains single ingredients. The next group contains multiple ingredients, and the last group contains multiple pureed fruits and vegetables along with smaller pieces of vegetables and pasta for babies to chew, according to Start Healthy, Stay Healthy's website.

Ingredients

Gerber baby foods are made from 100 percent natural fruits and vegetables. Two special types, the organic baby food and the DHA baby food, are available in addition to the regular foods. DHA foods include 18 mg of DHA, according to Start Healthy, Stay Healthy, and the organic foods contain various organic grains and fruits, all of which follow the National Organic Program's guidelines.

Flavors

Vegetable flavors for the basic, first foods include carrots, peas, green beans and sweet potatoes, among others. Fruits come in flavors such as apples, bananas and peaches. The second and third classes create different mixes. Apple-strawberry-banana and green beans with rice are two examples.
