When not enough oil is produced in the scalp, you get dandruff. The skin on the scalp dries out and begins to flake off, and the flaky scalp clumps together and appears as white or gray clumps in the hair. You can treating dandruff using a variety of home remedies, with ingredients that are around your kitchen or picked up easily from the grocery store.
Avoid Hot Showers
Hot water can draw the moisture out of the skin, leaving the skin and scalp abnormally dry. Shower using lukewarm water, and do not shower more than 15 minutes.
Rinse Hair Well
Make sure hair is rinsed and free from soap suds prior to adding conditioner.n Though it makes your hair easy to comb, conditioner can lock shampoo to the scalp. And that will dry out and eventually flake off as dandruff.
Deep Moisturizing Treatment
Apply olive oil to damp hair. Comb through, than cover your head in a towel and leave on for 30 minutes or more. Rinse and shampoo hair well. Repeat two times a week for three months.
Apple Juice Rinse
Mix two tablespoons of apple juice and two tablespoons of water. Rub into hair and distribute throughout evenly. Allow hair to sit for 15 minutes. Rinse well, and repeat process two to three times a week.
Egg Rinse
Beat two eggs and mix with two tablespoons of water. Massage it into your hair and let it sit for 15 minutes. Rinse out with warm water.
