When your partner comes home tired and aching from a long, hard day at work, give her a body rub to melt away her stresses and help her better enjoy the rest of the evening. Use simple, relaxing techniques to rub her entire body, then run her a bubble bath and make her favorite dinner to enjoy a night neither of you will ever forget.
Foot Rub
Step 1
Have your partner wash her feet and lie face down on a comfortable bed or sofa.
Step 2
Stand behind your partner's feet, and take her left foot into both of your hands.
Step 3
Apply about 1/2 tsp. of massage oil to her foot, and work the oil into her whole foot with light, circular strokes.
Step 4
Wrap your hands around her foot, just under her toes, and use your fingers to apply light pressure from her toes to her heel.
Step 5
Use your thumbs to create small, circular motions around her ankle and the bottom of her foot.
Step 6
Use long strokes to rub between the bones on the top of her foot.
Step 7
Repeat the foot rub sequence on her right foot.
Leg Rub
Step 1
Apply two to three tbsp. of massage oil to your partner's left leg.
Step 2
Use your fingers and thumbs to create slow, long strokes up and down the back of her legs.
Step 3
Repeat the leg rub sequence on your partner's right leg.
Buttocks Rub
Step 1
Apply 1/2 tsp. of massage oil onto your partner's buttocks.
Step 2
Use slow, circular motions to rub her buttocks from bottom to top.
Step 3
Use long, steady strokes to rub her buttocks from top to bottom.
Back and Shoulder Rub
Step 1
Stand on the right or left side of your partner's back.
Step 2
Apply about one tbsp. of massage oil to your partner's shoulders and back.
Step 3
Use the palms of both of your hands to make circular motions along your partner's back and shoulders.
Step 4
Place your hands, palms down, on your partner's upper back.
Step 5
Lean forward while slowing gliding your palms down your partner's back along both sides of her spine.
Step 6
Return to your starting position, and repeat the back and shoulder rub several more times, each time moving your hands further and further away from her spine until you reach the sides of her shoulders and back.
Arm and Hand Rub
Step 1
Apply one tsp. of massage oil to your partner's left arm.
Step 2
Use your fingers and thumbs to lightly stroke up and down both sides of her arm.
Step 3
Use your fingers and thumbs to make circular motions along her wrist, over the backs of her hand, and over the palm of her hand.
Step 4
Gently rub in-between each finger. Take each finger into your hand and use small, circular motions to rub each individual finger.
Step 5
Repeat the steps on your partner's right side.
Scalp and Neck Rub
Step 1
Use your thumb and fingers to make small circular motions all the way around your partner's scalp. Pay special attention to the sensitive areas behind her ears and along her hairline.
Step 2
Use your thumb and fingers to gently stroke her neck from top to bottom, and then from bottom to top.
Step 3
Gently move her head from side to side to release tension in her neck.
Tips and Warnings
- Ask your partner if there are places that she does not want to be rubbed before you begin.
