The Ping G5 irons are made for both right- and left-handed golfers. The shafts of the G5 irons are made of either steel or graphite. Ping makes its clubs so they are adjustable for any golfer.
Specs
The G5 irons vary in length depending on the specific club. The 9-iron is 35.75 inches in length while the 2-iron is 39.25 inches in length. Loft ranges from 18.5 degrees to 42 degrees. Offset for the clubs ranges from 0.23 inches to 0.32 inches.
Basic Features
The G5 irons offer a large head and wide sole. The Ping website says that the sole is widened, which allows for a lower center of gravity. The custom tuning port helps decrease the amount of vibration, resulting in a more solid feel.
Prices
The prices for the Ping G5 iron sets vary depending on how many clubs are included in the set. As of summer 2010, a seven-piece steel iron set can be purchased for about $400. Graphite clubs run about $570 for the seven-piece set.
