Trampolines are a favorite pastime for children and adults. Kids enjoy the fun of bouncing up and down by themselves or with their friends. Adults like them as an addition to their aerobic exercise regimen. Whatever the reason for trampoline use, precautions must be taken to guarantee the safety of all who use it. Installing a safety net is one of the best methods to ensure that kids and adults can continue to enjoy the trampoline and lessen the risk of bodily injury.
Step 1
Remove the tubes from the safety net box and put them together. Place the smaller tube inside the larger tube. Be sure to leave foam coverings on the tubes.
Step 2
Connect the tubes to the base of the trampoline. Use a nut and a bolt to screw the ends into place. Tubes should be sticking up around the perimeter of the trampoline.
Step 3
Attach balls to the top of the poles that hold the net in place. Slide the webbed part of the net through each ball on each pole.
Step 4
Stretch the netting around the poles and tie them with the ties included in your kit. Each pole must have three loops attached to it and tie loops with a knot. This helps to ensure safety if someone bumps into the net.
Step 5
Inspect the net once you are done stretching it around the trampoline perimeter. Check that the poles are sturdy and the ties are stable. Check the net opening to be certain it is accessible but able to be tied shut when trampoline is in use.
