Save--and even earn--money by turning green. If you're looking to lose weight, you can also find ways to combine your passion for the environment with your goal of getting leaner. When it comes to earning money, be creative. According to Business.gov, the key to success is finding your niche in an area that interests you.

Step 1

Become an eco tour guide. If you live in the city, you can lead walking tours around the historical parts of town or you can lead biking rides to nearby parks for those who wish to escape the city. If you live in a small town or the countryside, you can lead beach walks, hikes or other active pursuits. Not only will you make money, but also get to join in on the exercise. According to Stylecareer.com, if you live in an area where there's no impressive scenery or historical connection, you can organize birdwatching tours or nature programs that help people identify local flora and fauna.

Step 2

Buy space at the local farmers' market and sell products. If you have your own garden, sell potted or dried herbs. Create crafts, grow vegetables or bake sugar-free, organic products. At the end of the day, barter with other sellers for what you don't have. Get fresh veggies or other low-calorie products that you can take home to cook healthy meals.

Step 3

Become a reseller. Reusing and recycling are key to the green movement, according to eco website Super Green Me. On weekends, scout garage sales or county fairs for items you can resell online or privately. Try to locate a few sales in the same area and then spend a few hours walking around. You'll burn calories and eventually make money.

Step 4

Sell nutritional supplements. According to the IdeaMarketers.com, find products you identify with and would be willing to take yourself. These can include energy supplements, fat burners and other weight-loss aids. If you're overweight or lack energy, use the products for some time and track the results. You can then use your own success story to help you sell the supplements.

Step 5

Team up with a nutritionist or dietitian to create a holistic-consultation practice or a weight-loss center. Unless you are qualified, don't create diet plans on your own, as this can be both dangerous and illegal. According to Entrepreneur.com, set up an office-like space where people can come for consultations or create a mobile business, visiting clients' homes. Rather than focusing on diets, create a holistic program that incorporates raw foods, juicing and other green-eating practices. Once the program is set up, join in for better health and weight loss.
