The key to losing weight is to include successful diet foods in your diet. These are foods that aid in the fat-burning process and foods that will speed up your metabolism. Incorporating these foods along with other healthy food choices and an exercise program will help you obtain your weight-loss goals. The most successful diet foods are fruits and vegetables, whole grains, eggs and dairy, nuts and apple cider vinegar. In addition to adding these diet foods into your diet, make sure you are drinking plenty of water. Every system in your body depends on water. Water flushes toxins out of your body and carries nutrients to every cell in your body.

Fruits and Vegetables

Apples and grapefruit contain pectin, a soluble fiber that may lower glucose levels and aid in burning fat. Pectin forces fat tissue to release from fat cells and has high levels of galacturonic acid, which is a natural fat fighter. Strawberries and raspberries are full of vitamin C and may help you lose up to 30 percent more fat during exercise. Green leafy vegetables, such as asparagus, provide a natural fluid flush, promoting the breakdown of fat cells.

Whole Grain Foods and Soybeans

Whole grain flour, beans, oats, barely, brown rice and whole grain pasta are complex carbohydrates, which are considered fat-burning foods. Soybeans are rich in lecithin, which blocks cellular fat absorption and promotes fatty deposit breakdown.

Eggs and Dairy

Eggs are high in protein, making you feel fuller for longer. They also contain vitamin B12, which is a supplement for breaking down fat cells. Enzymes from dairy products also break down fat cells and reduce the hormone in your body that causes you to hold on to belly fat.

Nuts

Almonds are high in alpha-linolenic acid, which can speed up the metabolism of fats. According to a study in the International Journal of Obesity, dieters who consumed 3 oz. of almonds a day reduced their weight by 18 percent, compared to the no-nut group, which only lost 11 percent. Walnuts contain omega-3 fatty acids, which aid in weight loss by increasing your feeling of fullness.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar removes fat from your cells and helps you lose weight. It is stored in your body as glycogen and over time will remove fat from your body. The vinegar also boots metabolism and accelerates the oxidation process, which is required to flush out fat.
