According to MedlinePlus, an inflammation under the skin occurs when a pore becomes infected by dirt or bacteria. This happens when the oil gland inside the pore suddenly produces too much sebum, as during adolescence, or at a particular time during the menstrual cycle. Sometimes these breakouts can form as painful cysts under the skin. These breakouts should never be squeezed. Instead, soften the area and draw out the bacteria.

Step 1

Apply a warm compress to help drain the pimple.

Step 2

Crush an uncoated aspirin with a spoon in a bowl.

Step 3

Add enough warm water to create a smooth paste.

Step 4

Apply the paste to the pimple and leave it on for several minutes.

Step 5

Remove the paste gently with warm water. There should be noticeably less redness and swelling. Now you can apply some concealer and makeup to get you through the day.
