How to Make Homemade Pimple Face Masks

It isn't necessary to spend big money on complicated facial masks to soothe pimples, as skin-nourishing ingredients are as close as your kitchen. Tomato is ideal for acne, as the astringent qualities of the tomato will soothe the skin, according to CareFair.com. The vitamin C in apples, tomato and lemon juice promotes healthy skin, banishes excess oil and restores the skin's natural pH balance. Strawberries help heal and tone acne-prone skin, leaving the skin soft and supple. Egg whites are rich in protein, and can help to heal painful outbreaks.

Apple Facial

Step 1

Wash one apple. Grate the apple into a mixing bowl.

Step 2

Warm 5 tbsp. honey in a microwave oven for five to eight seconds. Stir the warm honey into the grated apple.

Step 3

Wash your face, and then pat your skin dry with a soft towel. Spread the apple mixture onto your face. Leave the mixture on your skin for 10 to 15 minutes, then rinse with warm water.

Strawberry Facial

Step 1

Place five ripe strawberries in a cup. Mash the strawberries with a fork.

Step 2

Stir in 2 tsp. warm honey, one egg white and 1 tsp. lemon juice. Blend the ingredients into a paste.

Step 3

Wash your face with warm water, and the allow your skin to dry slightly. Spread the strawberry mixture onto your damp skin.

Step 4

Allow the strawberry facial to remain on your face for 10 to 15 minutes, then rinse with warm water.

Tomato Facial Mask

Step 1

Place a large, ripe tomato in a blender. Add 2 tsp. freshly squeezed lemon juice and 2 tsp. instant oatmeal.

Step 2

Blend the ingredients thoroughly. Spread the tomato facial onto your freshly-washed skin.

Step 3

Allow the facial to remain on your skin for 10 to 15 minutes. Rinse the facial from your skin with warm water, and then pat your skin dry with a soft towel.
