How to Use a Lemonade Cleanse to Lose Weight

During a lemonade cleanse, you fast for at least 10 days. During this time, you do drink a specially made lemonade concoction, water and a salt-water solution. Fasting for 10 days can be very challenging, but the lemonade cleanse cleanses your body of toxins and unhealthy cravings. Compounded with fasting, this causes you to lose weight. While lemonade cleanses are popular among people wishing to lose weight, they have not undergone any clinical or medical studies, so there is not enough evidence to associate them with weight loss.

Step 1

Mix 2 tbsp. of lemon juice, 2 tbsp. of maple syrup and 1/10 tbsp. of cayenne pepper in 10 oz. of filtered water. This will make one serving of lemonade.

Step 2

Drink the lemonade mixture six to 10 times each day for at least 10 days. You should not eat anything. Besides the lemonade, it is fine to drink water.

Step 3

Mix 1 tsp. of sea salt in one liter of filtered water. This will make one salt water flush.

Step 4

Drink the entire salt-water flush at the conclusion of each day. This will help your body to produce bowel movements. Your body may take up to 30 minutes to produce the bowel movement.

Tips and Warnings

  • Make sure that you are in a comfortable place when you drink the salt water flush. It could quickly produce a bowel movement.
