Under eye bags are typically the result of years of fat accumulation, allergies, inadequate sleep, genetics or illness. Although little can be done about under eye bags, you can at least hide and temporarily relieve them to provide a healthy, youthful look. It is important to consult your physician about your baggy eyes to determine if any underlying health issues are present.

Step 1

Apply a cool compress to your eyes several times a day to relieve swelling and increase circulation to your under eye skin. According to MayoClinic.com, wetting a washcloth in cool water and applying it to your eyes with mild pressure to the surrounding skin is helpful.

Step 2

Apply a concealer that is one shade lighter than your natural skin tone. Using a makeup brush, apply concealer and blend in with your finger, suggests "The Doctors Book of Home Remedies." When not using a foundation over your concealer, you should pick a shade that matches your skin tone exactly.

Step 3

Relax with a slice of cucumber on each eye. Chilled cucumber helps alleviate swelling and lightens the darkened skin that under eye bags cause.

Step 4

Ingest an over-the-counter antihistamine to reduce eye-irritating allergens. According to Daily Glow, antihistamines prevent allergic reactions from dust and dander as well as other airborne allergens that product symptoms such as under eye bags.

Things You'll Need

  • Cool compress
  • Concealer
  • Makeup brush
  • Two slices of cucumber
  • Antihistamine
