Limit your discussions to divorce issues. Fighting over who caused the marriage to end is rarely productive. Marriages end. The best way to make sure the divorce goes smoothly is to focus on one divorce issue at a time.

Use a neutral area to discuss the issues. Find a comfortable setting where you and your spouse can speak openly about your divorce. Do not fight about your divorce in front of your children.
