Parris Island is a community in Beaufort County in southern South Carolina. Parris Island is the home of the U.S. Marine Corps boot camp and the Parris Island Museum. It is also a hub for recreation, including hiking, swimming and camping.

Tuck in the Wood is a campground and recreational vehicle park in the Parris Island area. Tuck in the Wood has a natural, quiet and rural atmosphere, and provides quick access to historic and scenic Beaufort. It is also near several boat landings.
