If you struggle with the pain and embarrassment of acne, you aren't alone. Acne is a common skin disease affecting millions of people of all ages, reports the University of Maryland Medical Center. Acne, the result of dry, dead skin cells combined with excess oil produced by overactive sebaceous glands, can be a stubborn problem. If you're tired of spending your money on chemical-laden products that don't work, try an overnight acne treatment made of natural, wholesome ingredients.

Step 1

Separate an egg and place the egg white in a small mixing bowl. Use a stick blender or an electric mixer to beat the egg whites until they are thick and frothy.

Step 2

Squeeze 1/2 fresh lemon and remove the seeds. Add the lemon juice to the egg whites and mix well.

Step 3

Wash your face using a gentle cleanser for oily skin. Make sure your face is completely clean and all traces of makeup have been removed. Rinse the cleanser from your skin, and then pat your face dry with a soft towel.

Step 4

Spread the egg and lemon mixture onto your skin and allow it to dry. Leave the treatment on your face overnight.

Step 5

Rinse the egg and lemon mixture from your skin the following morning. Make sure all of the facial has been removed, and then use a cotton ball to apply a gentle, oil-free toner.
