A trampoline pad is an important safety feature for any trampoline. Trampoline pads provide a cushion around the metal frame and springs, thereby preventing injury that can be caused by striking these hard and potentially sharp parts. Installing a trampoline pad is a relatively quick process that you can complete in just a few short steps.
Step 1
Place the pad on the trampoline so that it covers the entire frame and all the springs.
Step 2
Position the pad so that the slits on the outer edge are aligned with each leg of the trampoline.
Step 3
Insert the looped end of one of the pad's included bungee cords through the bottom of the outside hole of each set of grommets. Pull the looped end up through the outer grommet and insert it downward through the inner grommet. Make sure the looped end of the bungee hangs down through the inner grommet and the hooked end of the bungee hangs down from the outer grommet. Repeat this process for each set of grommets on the trampoline pad.
Step 4
Locate the spring harnesses on the underside of the pad. The spring harnesses are the heavy nylon loops attached directly to the bottom of the trampoline pad. Lift the pad and detach the spring nearest each harness. Slide the spring through the harness and reattach the spring to the frame. Repeat this process until you have installed a spring through every spring harness.
Step 5
Wrap the looped end of each bungee cord around the nearest leg of the trampoline, then around the hooked end of the bungee.
Step 6
Check all connections to make sure the pad fits snugly around the frame. Tighten the bungee cords, if necessary.
