Rope lighting can also be used to light trees and shrubs. LED lights can be placed in Christmas decorations such as large Santas, reindeer, packages and other lawn ornaments.
Cautions
Do not use traditional incandescent light bulbs with LED light strings. If you use an incandescent bulb on a LED string, you risk a possible overload on the circuit. Always recycle old incandescent light bulbs. Use LED lights as instructed by the manufacturer, and be sure not to create a dangerous situation with too many strings plugged into one socket. Remove accumulated snow from outdoor LED lighting features; the lack of heat from the LED bulbs means the snow will not melt on its own, and the weight could damage the features.
