The Garmin Colorado 400t is a hand held GPS device designed for both the trail and backcountry adventurer and serious geocacher. This GPS features 3-D maps to keep you on the right track. The Colorado 400t is a discontinued model for Garmin.

Basic Features

The 400t features turn by turn navigation, a 3D color map view, odometer and speedometer. An altimeter, compass and barometer keeps you up to date with exact location, incoming weather and current altitude. This GPS comes with pre- loaded detailed topographic maps, and the paperless geocaching mode serves treasure hunting enthusiasts well. The attached carabiner comes in handy for hands free carrying.

Extras

The 400t is waterproof but does not float. A track log allows you to save 20 tracks and 10,000 points. Garmin Connect allows you to hook your GPS to your home computer to track your activity while also being able to explore previous routes and find new ones via Google Earth. It also features a fishing/hunting calendar and tide tables.

Care

The 400t is waterproof but you should make sure the unit is dry before storing. The unit should be stored in a cool, dry place. Users should avoid exposing their unit to extreme hot and cold temperatures.
