Tips and Warnings
- Make sure the resume is only one page long. If it goes to a second page, omit some information starting with items listed under "Personal." Be sure the resume looks neat. You may also e-mail your resume to prospective employers by attaching your resume to the e-mail. Microsoft Word is one of the easier word processor programs to use. It is likely already installed on your computer. Most versions also have a resume assistance option. Keep the font size at 12 except for your name which should be a little bigger at size 16. Resume paper can be purchased at a local stationary store.
- Try not to be wordy. Make sure your phone number and email address are correct. Use information that will be related to the job you're applying for.
