If you have acne, it isn't always necessary to use expensive, chemical-laden products that may or may not work. Instead, treat your face to a soothing hot pack made from natural ingredients that you may already have in your pantry. A hot pack once a week will help to relieve acne and remove oil and grime from your pores, leaving your skin radiantly fresh and invigorated.

Step 1

Place 1 cup of water in a small saucepan. Bring the water to a boil, and then remove the water from the heat. Add 2 tsp. dried sage leaves to the water and allow the sage tea to brew for 5 to 10 minutes. Alternatively, use a sage teabag.

Step 2

Place 2 tbsp. rolled oats in a blender and grind the oats to a coarse, sandy texture. Place the ground oats in a mixing bowl and stir in 4 tbsp. of the hot sage tea. Add 1/2 tsp. tea tree essential oil or wheat germ oil and 1 tbsp. ground flaxseed.

Step 3

Wash your face as usual, and then apply the warm pack to your face, avoiding the fragile skin under your eyes. Allow the pack to remain on your face for at least 20 minutes.

Step 4

Rinse the pack from your face with warm water. Dry your face gently with a soft towel, and then apply a thin layer of aloe vera gel or oil-free moisturizer.
