Powerblock Review

The PowerBlock adjustable dumbbells live up to their name. Instead of the standard round handle, round weight plate design, they are literal blocks of progressively-sized weight plates.

Mechanism

PowerBlocks adjust much like the weight stack on a gym weight machine. To adjust how much weight you're lifting, pull the two-prong selector pin out of the block and slide it into the appropriate weight plate.

Product Lines

PowerBlocks are available in several product lines, including the Urethane series, Sport series, Classic series, Commercial sets and KettleBlocks, which are PowerBlocks with a single kettlebell-style handle instead of a bar.

Specs

Each PowerBlock line is expandable. You can start with a smaller set, for example the Classic 45, and upgrade to larger sets in the same line, once you're ready to lift more weight.
