Constipation is a human condition that can fluctuate with age, health and changes in diet. Phillips' cleanse system is designed to address constipation and the underlying factors that might contribute to it.

Company History

Since 1847, milk of magnesia has been a staple of Phillips', now a subsidiary of the Bayer Co.. The active ingredient in many of Phillips' products, magnesium hydroxide, produces a bowl movement with 30 minutes to six hours and works by drawing water from surrounding tissues back into the colon, where it's reabsorbed into the stool.

Components

As a response to a consumer demand for cleansing products, Phillips' developed Phillips' Colon Health Probiotics. Probiotics contains three kinds of "good bacteria": Lactobacillus gasseri, Bifidobacterium longum and Bifidobacerium bifidum, which in combination aid in digestion, protect the intestines and boost the body's immune system.

Instructions for Use

Phillips' products are designed to maintain intestinal health. Milk of Magnesia liquid, stool softeners with docusate sodium or Milk of Magnesia caplets are used as directed for cleansing. Probiotics should be used as a daily dietary supplement. Unlike other cleanse systems, weight loss is not an expected side effect of the Phillips' system.
