Bent bicycle tires can be a very big problem for riders. Depending on the bend or blip on the rim, your bike can develop bald spots that make the handling of the bike more difficult. When a bicycle wheel is bent, it is no longer in its true state. This true state can be achieved by using a spoke wrench to take out any warps and bends in the spokes, which will help take out any issues with the bent tire itself.
Step 1
Hang your bike, or flip it upside down. Leave your tire on the bicycle.
Step 2
Slowly spin the wheel until you find the area that has the most drastic bend.
Step 3
Use the spoke wrench to tighten the spoke nuts on the convex side of the rim, where the bend is most drastic. The spoke nuts are located at the end of the spokes, near the rim.
Step 4
Adjust the spokes in this manner until the area is straight again.
Step 5
Tighten any loose spokes after your wheel is straight.
