Manufactured by Rawlings, the Sandlot baseball glove series offers a combination of quality and affordability. Sandlot gloves benefit from a "unique" leather antiquating process that contributes to flexibility and strength and helps players break in new gloves quickly, according to Rawlings.

Designs

Sandlot gloves are available in a range of models for different positions and hand sizes. Left- and right-handed designs are both available. Gloves sizes range from 11.5 to 12.75 inches; a 32.5 inch Sandlot catcher's mitt is also available. Different models also include a variety of pocket options; T-bar and mesh-net, for example, as of 2010.

Colors

Sandlot baseball gloves and catchers mitts are available in black and tanned leather.

Where to Buy

Various models of the glove can be purchased online at the Rawlings website, or through an online wholesaler. You are also likely to find different models of the glove in large sporting goods stores. Custom orders can be made online through Rawlings.

Cost

In 2010 Sandlot series gloves cost $84.99 on Rawlings official website; various wholesalers are offering different models of the glove for $62.99 to $100 or more. Sandlot series gloves, as of 2010, are priced below the "Heart of the Hide", "Pro Preferred" and "Primo Series" ($200 to $400) gloves, which are also made by Rawlings, but above the "Play Maker" and "Gold Glove" series.

Considerations

If you are buying online, consider shipping fees. Never provide your credit card information to a company online unless their website is secure; establishing and paying through a PayPal account is a secure option.
