Wrinkles are the result of the natural aging process, and can also be caused by sun exposure, air pollution, cigarette smoke and rapid weight loss, according to the University of Maryland Medical Center. While there is no way to turn back the clock and make wrinkles disappear, a facial mask can smooth and soften fine lines, improve the texture of the skin, and leave you feeling revitalized and rejuvenated. While commercial wrinkle treatments are readily available, you can create your own mask out of healthy, natural ingredients.

Honey and Carrot Facial Mask

Step 1

Place 1 1/2 tbsp. honey in a cup or small bowl. Stir in 1/2 tsp. carrot juice and a pinch of baking soda. Mix well.

Step 2

Wash your face, then pat your skin dry with a soft towel. Spread the honey and carrot facial mask onto your skin, avoiding the sensitive area around your eyes. Allow the facial to remain on your face for 20 minutes.

Step 3

Remove the facial from your skin with cotton balls or a warm washcloth. Pat your skin dry, then apply your favorite moisturizing cream.

Egg White and Apple Facial Mask

Step 1

Beat one egg white in a small bowl until the egg is frothy. Stir in one grated apple and 4 to 6 drops of olive oil or jojoba oil and 1 tsp. rosewater.

Step 2

Wash your face, then spread the egg white mixture onto your clean skin. Allow the facial to remain on your skin for 10 to 15 minutes, or until it dries.

Step 3

Rinse the mixture from your face with warm water. Pat your skin, and then apply your favorite moisturizer.
