Gillette Mach 3 Power Razor Review

The Mach 3 Power Razor is the first Gillette razor to use micro-power technology. A small battery-powered motor sends vibrations through the three-blade razor to help you get a close shave.

Features

The Mach 3 Razor features a forwarding-pivoting head that houses three of Gillette's coated PowerGlide blades and ten of Gillette's standard Microfins, all designed to help the razor follow the curves of your face and shave more efficiently. It also has a moisturizer strip with Vitamin E and aloe to soothe your skin. The vibrations, or "micropulses," produced by the small motor stimulate hair up and away from the skin to help produce a closer shave.

Ease of Use

The Gillette M3 Power Razor is designed to be easy to use. You can expel an old cartridge with the simple press of a button and snap a new one in just as easily. You turn the vibrating feature on and off by pressing a button along the middle of the handle, and you replace the AAA battery by opening the bottom of the razor.

Cost

The initial cost for a Gillette Mach 3 Power Razor is around $20. It comes with one shaving cartridge and a AAA battery. Replacement cartridges start around $12.49 for an eight-cartridge pack. Prices are current as of August 2010.
