The combination also decreases triglycerides, and keeps your blood flowing smoothly by lowering the buildup of plaque in your arteries. Physical activity can also help you avoid other chronic diseases, like type 2 diabetes and certain types of cancer.
Weight Management
Exercise helps increase the number of calories burned, and a healthy diet can lead to calorie reduction, making weight management and weight loss achievable. The journal Family Practice reports that the more intense the activity you undertake, the more calories you burn and the easier it is to keep your weight under control. Aim for three to five days a week of at least 30 minutes of moderate activity for maximum weight-management benefits.

Sleep is important to health because it can improve your concentration, productivity and mood. Regular daily exercise can help you fall asleep faster and deepen your night's sleep, reports the Mayo Clinic. Eating on a regular schedule can also help stabilize your blood sugar and promote a good night of sleep.
