Diet meal programs deliver calorie-controlled and planned-out foods to your front door. Food may be frozen or vacuum packed, but requires little thought or preparation. Most diet meal programs provide three meals a day plus dessert. Supplement the provided foods with fresh fruit, vegetables and skim milk. When shopping for a diet meal program, opt for one that offers support, meets your dietary needs and fits your budget.

Jenny Craig

Jenny Craig provides convenient packaged meals and one-on-one support. You can opt to visit a Jenny Craig diet center or use Jenny Craig at home, with phone support. Select between pre-planned menus or personalize your own custom menu. Your consultant will help you to plan the right menu for your diet needs. Meatless meal options are available. Fitness counseling and support are a part of the plan, along with guidance as you move from an active weight loss phase to a maintenance plan.

Nutrisystem

Nutrisystem is another popular diet meal choice. Plans are available for men and women, as well as seniors, diabetics and vegetarians. You can customize your menus to suit your likes and dislikes, with food options ranging from scones to pasta. Most Nutrisystem foods are packaged through a soft canning process, making them portable and eliminating the need for refrigeration. Nutrisystem Select foods are freshly prepared and frozen before delivery.
